De leerlingen van 3 Handel-talen op excursie naar Brussel

On Tuesday the 27th of april, we took a trip to Brussels to practise our English vocabulary. We took the train at 8:30 a.m. in Mechelen.

When we arrived in Brussels we had to do our first exercise. We had to find people who were willing to interduce themselves to our teachers and talk about their nationality, hobbies, jobs,...
Later we guided the students of 3HTA through Brussels. We showed them monuments of Manneke Pis and the market square and talked about their history.

At lunchtime we had 2 hours of sparetime to eat, to do some shopping and to finish some assignements.

After our lunch, we did another exercise where some tourists had to bring words to pupils at the other side of the square. With these words we had to make a sentence. I enjoyed this assignement a lot and was suprised that people were so helpful.

I have learned a lot in Brussels. I am more confident now to speak English with people i don’t know. I learned about Brussels and its history through the presentations of my classmates.

At the end we had to look for some things like for example a picture of the royal family. I liked this excercise the most.

We had a great day and took some nice pictures!
